The Wakaya Club & Spa in Fiji is a luxury resort that easily rivals other exclusive island getaways and retreats. Each 1,650 square foot villa includes a private rear garden and two covered outdoor decks, a bedroom with closet space and a four-poster bed and Italian 100% cotton sheets, a bathroom with an oversized soaking tub, two vanities and an open-air, lava rock shower, a wet bar, CD player and CDs, cathedral ceilings, and flooring made of indigenous yaka timber. The Governor’s and Ambassador’s Bures are more spacious and include even more luxurious amenities.
The cuisine at the Wakaya Club is unsurpassed! Even as you are driven from the airstrip to the Club you’ll pass lush gardens and groves of trees. Locally grown and organic produce is at its finest at the Wakaya Club! Pacific Rim fare is the Chef’s specialty and guests will enjoy the fruits of the island including locally raised pork, lamb, venison, chickens, and Muscovy Ducks, not to mention the fresh eggs of both the chickens and the ducks. Wakaya’s fresh seafood is from the Koro Sea. Guests will enjoy Pacific green lobster, shrimp, mangrove crab, tuna, wahoo, walu, and mahimahi as features of the daily menus. Organic garden produce includes greens, herbs, eggplant, Chinese cabbage, avocados, kumquats, limes, lemons, pineapples, papayas, and Fijian ginger. Chefs cater to all dietary requirements and likes. The Wakaya Club hosts a Guest Chef Program and guests of the club have had the pleasure of dining on fare prepared by Nobu of Japan, Matthew Crabbe of Tokyo, Masa Takaya of Manhattan, Charlie Trotter of Chicago, and Grant MacPherson of Las Vegas.
